Have you ever wondered about trying something a little different? Blackwork originated in the 15th Century as a way of embelishing cuffs and collars. It combines geometric groups of stitches to create different effects across a piece, and (shock, horror!) isn;t always black threads!
Eleanor Friston has designed 8 different blackwork flowers for Bothy Threads using traditional motifs, and embelished them with metallic threads and beads. All these kits are worked on 14ct (hpi) Aida and also contain instructions, and needle.
